October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so to do our bit for the occasion we’ve launched one of our breast - sorry, best - ever card ranges. We’ve teamed up with ITV’s Lorraine in support of their Change + Check campaign and launched four fruity ta-ta-inspired cards; light-hearted with a serious underlying message, they’re bursting with punny one-liners and were designed to be sent to your loved ones to remind them to check their breasts. Even better, they’re free! Just use the code FREECHECK at checkout.
Lorraine’s Change + Check campaign’s aim is to promote regular checks for the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. So, now you can send a Moonpig card which not only features an illustration showing the changes to look out for, but a QR code which takes you straight to an easy-to-follow guide on how to check yourself. Clever!
With one woman being diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes in the UK, checking for signs of breast cancer is crucial for early detection and ultimately saving lives. So, get squeezing those melons, and get your friends and family squeezing too!
Shop The Range
While creating the range we met with breast cancer survivors to hear their stories and get their support, including the woman who started it all: Lorraine producer Helen Addis who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. Talking to us about Change + Check, Helen said: “Chatting to my friends throughout my 18 months of treatment, I was amazed at how many of them didn’t check their boobs. Breast cancer can happen to anybody - men and women, young and old - which is why people need to get to know their bodies better so they can spot any signs of change.” Helen also hopes (and we do, too!) that people who receive the cards will not only check their own breasts but will pass on a card to a family member or friend, helping to spread the message far and wide and ultimately, save lives.
Keen to get involved but worried about making a tit out of yourself with the message inside? Don’t worry! We’ve put together a helpful breast-practice guide on what to write (okay we’ll stop with the boob puns now)...
You know how much I care, right? This is just a little reminder to check those melons. Someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes in the UK, so please show your boobies some love and give ‘em a good squeeze for me!
Have you checked your tatas lately? Why not? With around 55,000 people being diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year, I’d really appreciate it if you gave those boobs a once over. Thank you!
1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and early detection is life-saving. So I’m sending you a little reminder to give your tatas a squeeze – pass it on to someone else too and I’ll love you forever!
